Crop Circle Terjadi di Sleman Yogyakarta


Yogyakarta - Seorang anak kecil sempat melihat angin puting beliung yang naik-turun dan diduga mengukir simbol Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) atau sering dikenal dengan sebutan Crop Circle di daerah persawahan di Sleman, Yogyakarta. Karena kejadiannya menjelang malam, warga baru menyadarinya pagi tadi."Kemarin sore ada angin kencang, anak kecil di daerah saya melihat ada angin puting beliung naik turun di sekitar situ," ujar salah seorang warga setempat, Pradhita Wahyu. Anak kecil tersebut, menurut Wahyu, menceritakan apa yang dilihatnya kepada orangtuanya. Namun warga tidak berani mengecek ke lokasi karena sudah cuaca kurang menguntungkan. "Warga belum bisa melihat karena sudah gelap dan angin kencang, di kampung juga jarang lampu penerangan," paparnya. Sebelumnya diberitakan, warga Sleman, Yogyakarta, dihebohkan oleh tanda misterius di persawahan yang muncul usai angin kencang. Warga setempat meyakini tanda yang berbentuk lingkaran raksasa tersebut sebagai pendaratan pesawat 'UFO' dari planet lain. Lambang tersebut berbentuk lingkaran berdiameter 70 meter. Di tengah lingkaran raksasa tersebut terdapat lambang misterius. Tanda tersebut dibentuk oleh hamparan padi yang rebah setelah angin kencang tersebut.Pihak Kepolisian pun membenarkan munculnya lambang misterius 'UFO' tersebut. Polisi bahkan sudah mengabadikan peristiwa langka tersebut. Lambang misterius yang diyakini warga akibat pesawat Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) muncul di daerah persawahan di Sleman, Yogyakarta. Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi dan Geofisika menduga lambang misterius itu akibat dari angin puting beliung. "Dugaan saya itu dampak dari angin puting beliung," ujar Kepala Sub Bidang Peringatan Dini Cuaca Ekstrem BMKG Kukuh Ribudiyanto. Menurut Kukuh sifat angin puting beliung itu berputar dan berjalan menyapu setiap yang dilewatinya. Bisa jadi akibat dari sapuannya itu membentuk format yang membentuk sebuah arti atau menyerupai benda tertentu. "Angin bisa saja merebahkan dan membentuk gambar. Bisa saja kebetulan membentuk gambar simetris, namanya puting beliung itu berkelok-kelok dapat merebahkan padi," paparnya setelah melihat foto dalam berita. Kukuh menambahkan kasus seperti ini jarang terjadi. Hal ini harus diteliti lebih lanjut untuk memastikan penyebabnya. "Kalau tanaman padi merebah karena angin itu banyak kasusnya, tapi kalau membentuk formasi khusus, hal ini harus diteliti lebih lanjut," jelasnya.

10 Tips Milih Kartu Undangan Pernikahan

Kartu undangan merupakan bentuk dan cermin pesta pernikahan Anda. Anda tentu tak ingin kesempatan berkumpul pada hari bahagia ini justru jadi sia-sia karena kartu undangan yang bermasalah dan membuat orang-orang yang Anda harapkan kehadirannya gagal datang ke pesta.

Bagi Anda yang ingin menikah, tak ada salahnya jika segala sesuatu dipersiapkan dengan jeli. Salah satunya adalah kartu undangan yang akan dikirim. Kartu undangan yang dibuat tentunya diharapkan menyampaikan informasi yang jelas tentang siapa yang menikah, di mana dan kapan hari pernikahan tersebut berlangsung. Berikut ini tips dalam memilih kartu undangan:

1. Langkah pertama yang harus ditempuh calon pengantin adalah mencari desain kartu undangan. Cari atau buatlah desain sebanyak mungkin. Kalau perlu, tiru kartu-kartu undangan yang pernah Anda terima. Boleh juga Anda kunjungi percetakan atau tempat pembuat kartu undangan, lihat yang bagus dan unik, simpanlah di memori Anda. 

2. Sesampainya di rumah, buat kembali desainnya sesuai dengan keinginan Anda dan pasangan. Agar hasilnya memuaskan, proses perburuan kartu undangan sebaiknya dilakukan jauh-jauh hari sebelum hari pernikahan. Minimal dua bulan sebelum hari H.

3. Terkadang, calon pengantin ingin memajang foto pre-wedding mereka. Tak mengapa jika Anda memang ingin melakukannya. Apalagi, sekarang ini banyak pula orang yang menerima kartu undangan pernikahan dilanda rasa penasaran ingin melihat wajah sang calon pengantin, bukan sekadar nama mereka.

4. Langkah berikutnya, konsultasikan desain tersebut dengan orangtua masing-masing. Kecuali masing-masing keluarga mau membuat pesta pernikahan terpisah dengan undangan yang terpisah pula. Argumentasi dan perang mulut seringkali muncul untuk memastikan desain kartu undangan Anda sudah benar-benar cocok.

5. Bila perlu, cantumkan nama panggilan Anda dan pasangan serta keluarga masing-masing supaya penerima undangan tidak kebingungan dan berpikir undangan tersebut salah alamat. Atau jika memang merasa perlu, cantumkan pula nomor telepon di masing-masing keluarga. Tujuannya, supaya si penerima undangan bisa menghubungi nomor telepon yang tercantum untuk lebih yakin apakah memang benar mereka diundang jika si penerima undangan merasa tidak kenal dengan calon pengantin dan keluarganya.

6. Lazimnya, dalam sebuah kartu undangan, tercantum pula sebuah peta atau denah lokasi pernikahan, kendati pesta pernikahan dilakukan di sebuah gedung yang sudah familiar dan dikenal orang banyak. Denah atau peta menjadi syarat utama ketika pernikahan dilakukan di rumah atau tempat yang sulit untuk dikunjungi, apalagi buat tamu yang datang dari luar kota. Biasanya, vendor kartu undangan memiliki denah atau peta lokasi gedung, hotel atau balai pertemuan. 

Namun untuk denah rumah, calon pengantin harus membuat sendiri yang bisa didiskusikan dengan vendor kartu undangan. Harus dicek lagi, apakah peta yang Anda buat sudah sesuai dengan kondisi jalan sekarang. Jangan sampai peta atau denah yang dibuat secara ekonomis dan meringkas banyak hal malah membuat orang tersesat. Demikian pula dengan peta milik vendor kartu undangan atau percetakan. Akan merepotkan jika peta tersebut ternyata sudah kadaluarsa. Jangan sampai tamu yang Anda undang malah tersesat atau nyasar ke tempat lain yang ternyata juga sedang mengadakan hajatan atau pernikahan.

7. Untuk menghemat biaya, tak ada salahnya berkunjung ke pameran pernikahan. Booking segera jika ada kartu undangan yang sesuai dengan yang didiskusikan bersama pasangan dan keluarga, serta ada potongan harga atau bonus menarik dari vendor di pameran tersebut. Jika Anda mendapatkan mendapat diskon 20% dari harga normal atau mendapat bonus suvenir sejumlah kartu undangan yang akan Anda buat, hal itu cukup lumayan.

8. Jika Anda tidak punya banyak waktu, pilih vendor kartu yang lokasi kantornya tidak jauh dari domisili Anda. Hal ini akan mempermudah Anda saat ada revisi pada desain kartu. 

Paling mudah adalah memilih kartu undangan yang ditawarkan vendor kartu undangan atau percetakan. Anda tinggal ganti nama, alamat, tanggal, dan waktu pernikahan dan sebagainya. Meski dianggap kurang kreatif, Anda tidak perlu direpotkan untuk urusan desain. Asalkan jangan karena tidak mau dinilai kurang kreatif, Anda malah berkreasi terhadap kartu undangan secara berlebihan. Misalnya dengan memberikan pita yang diikat kencang di kartu undangan sehingga membuat kartu undangan susah dibuka, tempelan pernak-pernik yang membuat kartu undangan terlihat heboh, atau menggunakan quote atau puisi yang isinya malah tidak nyambung dengan kartu undangan pernikahan Anda. 

9. Untuk desain, pilih jenis huruf yang tidak susah dibaca. Jangan gunakan huruf yang sepintas terlihat indah namun sulit dibaca. Huruf yang simple namun bersih akan membuat tamu tidak kesulitan saat membaca nama calon pengantin, alamat tempat pernikahan, waktu pernikahan dan lain-lain.

10. Saat akan dicetak, periksa kembali desain kartu undangan, apakah semuanya sudah benar penulisan hurufnya. Hal-hal yang harus dicek seperti nama mempelai dan gelar, nama orang tua dan gelar, waktu dan tanggal hari pernikahan, alamat gedung atau rumah dan tempat akad nikah, alamat rumah keluarga, dan gambar peta.

Permukaan Bumi Semakin Bergerak ke Utara Pergeseran lebih besar dibanding perkiraan awal. Meski demikian, itu belum signifikan.

Saat Anda membaca artikel ini, permukaan bumi di bawah Anda bergerak secara perlahan-lahan menuju ke kutub utara. Menurut sejumlah ilmuwan, pergeseran ini lebih besar dibandingkan dengan yang mereka perkirakan. Akan tetapi, di luar efek minor pada satelit, tidak ada efek signifikan yang akan terasa.

Peneliti menemukan, pergeseran massa air di seluruh dunia, dikombinasikan dengan apa yang disebut dengan post-glacial rebound, telah menggeser permukaan bumi dari pusatnya sebanyak 0,035 inci atau 0,88 milimeter per tahun ke arah kutub utara.

Post-glacial rebound merupakan efek balik dari permukaan padat bumi terhadap berkurangnya gletser dan hilangnya beban berat. Dengan berkurangnya gletser pada akhir jaman es, tanah di bawah es mulai naik dan terus naik. Untuk itu, seperti sudah diperkirakan, lapisan padat di permukaan akan bergerak ke utara sebagai efek dari pusat massa planet.

Saat menghitung perubahan ini, para ilmuwan mengombinasikan data gravitasi dari NASA dan satelit German Aerospace Center Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment (GRACE) yang mengukur pergerakan permukaan bumi lewat GPS dan model yang dikembangkan oleh Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) milik NASA yang memperkirakan massa samudra di atas setiap titik di dasar samudera.

Xiaoping Wu, peneliti JPL di Pasadena, California memperkirakan, penyebab utama pergeseran permukaan bumi adalah karena melelehnya lapisan es Laurentide, yang menyelimuti sebagian besar Kanada dan bagian utara Amerika Serikat di jaman es lalu.

“Temuan baru ini ternyata jauh lebih besar dibandingkan perkiraan terdahulu yang hanya 0,019 inci atau 0,48 milimeter per tahun,” kata Wu, seperti dikutip dari Livescience, 28 September 2010.

Meski demikian, Wu menyebutkan, pergerakan permukaan ke arah atas tidak akan mempengaruhi kehidupan di bumi. “Pergeseran itu kurang dari satu milimeter per tahun, jadi tidak berpengaruh,” kata Wu. “Beda halnya jika pergeseran mencapai 1 sentimeter. Itu akan menghadirkan perubahan yang signifikan,” ucapnya.

Walaupun pergerakan lempeng tidak mempengaruhi kehidupan manusia sehari-hari, pergeseran ini akan berpengaruh pada pelacakan satelit dan pesawat luar angkasa. “Seatelit di orbit di mencatat informasi dari luar angkasa dan berkorespondensi dengan instrumen yang ada di permukaan bumi,” kata Wu. “Pergerakan ini akan berpengaruh pada bagaimana kita melacak pesawat atau satelit tersebut,” ucapnya.

Laporan terbaru seputar pergeseran permukaan bumi tersebut dibuat oleh para peneliti dari JPL, Delft University of Technology di Belanda, serta Netherlands Institute for Space Research. Hasilnya dipublikasikan pada jurnal Nature Geoscience edisi bulan ini.

Manfaat Konsumsi Buah Pepaya

Makan buah-buahan merupakan salah satu kebiasaan yang menyenangkan sekaligus menyehatkan. Banyak sekali manfaat yang dapat diambil dari konsumsi buah-buahan setiap harinya. Salah satu buah yang paling banyak dikonsumsi adalah buah Pepaya.
Buah Pepaya adalah buah yang sangat populer, dan banyak orang mengkonsumsi karena rasa yang unik. Meskipun sangat populer, banyak yang belum mengetahui apa manfaat buah pepaya ini. Berikut ini adalah beberapa manfaat yang dapat diambil ketika mengkonsumsi buah pepaya.
Kaya akan Antioksidan


Pepaya adalah buah yang memiliki kandungan tinggi antioksidan. Ini termasuk vitamin C, flavonoid, folat, vitamin A, asam panthotenic, mineral, magnesium, vitamin E, kalium, serat dan vitamin B. Antioksidan memerangi radikal bebas dalam tubuh dan menjaga kesehatan sistem kardiovaskular dan memberikan perlindungan terhadap kanker usus besar.
Mencegah Penyakit Jantung
Karena pepaya merupakan sumber antioksidan yang sangat baik, buah pepaya membantu mencegah oksidasi kolesterol dalam hati. kolesterol tinggi dapat menyebabkan serangan jantung dan stroke, dan ini dapat dicegah dengan mengkonsumsi buah Pepaya secara teratur. Selain itu salah buah pepaya juga sarat akan serat yang kemudian dapat membantu menurunkan kadar kolesterol dalam hati. Asam folat yang ditemukan dalam pepaya menghilangkan zat-zat berbahaya yang dapat merusak dinding pembuluh darah dan menyebabkan serangan jantung. Salah satu manfaat buah pepaya lainnya yaitu sebagai pencegahan penyakit jantung diabetes.
Memperkuat sistem kekebalan


Buah pepaya mengandung banyak sekali vitamin A dan vitamin B yang diperlukan untuk meningkatkan sistem kekebalan tubuh dan. Dengan mengkonsumsi Buah pepaya diyakini dapat memperkuat sistem kekebalan tubuh dan mencegah beberapa penyakit yang terjadi sebagai hasil menurunkan kekebalan, seperti pilek dan batuk, infeksi dan flu.
Mengurangi peradangan
Pepaya juga mengandung enzim papain dan enzim chymopapain yang dapat mengurangu peradangan sehingga membantu tubuh dalam penyembuhan luka bakar dan luka lainnya. Beberapa penyakit tertentu menjadi lebih buruk ketika tubuh meradang. Karena itu disarankan bahwa orang-orang yang menderita kondisi ini harus mengkonsumsi buah pepaya untuk mendapatkan manfaat buah pepaya.
Mencegah kanker
Manfaat buah pepaya yang tidak kalah pentingnya adalah berperan dalam mencegah kanker usus besar. Ini tidak lepas karena banyaknya kandungan serat. Serat ini juga sangat berguna bagi mereka yang kesulitan buang air besar.
Menjaga kesehatan paru-paru

Penyanyi 12 Tahun Pecahkan Rekor Muri

VIVAnews - Di saat sejumlah remaja sedang asyik menikmati aktivitas yang sedang tren, Shirley Liem justru punya kegemaran lain. Usia muda tak menghalangi kegemaran Sherly dalam mengeksplorasi budaya Indonesia.

Remaja berusia 12 tahun ini sangat piawai menyanyikan lagu-lagu daerah, dari 'Bungong Jeumpa' hingga 'Sio Mama' dinyanyikannya dengan sempurna. Menyanyikan lagu daerah lengkap dengan cengkok dan pelafalan yang sempurna  jelas  bukan perkara mudah.

"Lagu daerah kan jarang yang menyanyikan. Makanya aku mau bawakan lagu-lagu daerah. Tapi, referensi menyanyi aku tetap dari penyanyi pop," ujar Sherly kepada VIVAnews.com saat ditemui dalam acara Resital Vokal Tunggalnya di Mall of Indonesia, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta Pusat.

Memulai karier bernyanyi di usia empat tahun, Sherly Liem tak menemui kesulitan berarti saat ditantang oleh Jaya Suprana untuk menggelar resital vokal tunggal dengan mempergelar mahakarya-mahakarya seni musik nusantara. 

Pemilik sederet penghargaan di bidang model dan menyanyi ini akan menampilkan keindahan suara soprannya dalam 14 lagu, dibuka dengan Alusia dan ditutup dengan Indonesia Pusaka. Meski baru setahun mengasah kemampuan vokalnya di Jaya Suprana School Of Performing Arts, Sherly menunjukkan kemampuan berarti. Tak heran saat ditantang untuk menggelar resital vokal tunggal, Sherly langsung menyanggupinya.

Selain akan mencatatkan rekor MURI, Sherly rupanya punya tujuan lain di balik pagelaran resital vokal tunggalnya. “Aku ingin anak-anak muda saat ini lebih familiar dengan lagu-lagu daerah, jangan lagu pop saja. Sebab, lagu daerah ini bisa jadi aset untuk go internasional nanti,” ujar penyanyi yang rutin tampil di TMII ini.

Sherly memang menemukan keasyikan sendiri saat menyanyikan lagu daerah. Untuk penampilannya di resital vokal tunggalnya itu, Sherly menyanyikan lagu-lagu daerah yang sudah diaransemen ulang tanpa meninggalkan kekhasan lagu itu sendiri.

Usai menggelar resital vokal tunggal, putri sulung pasangan Liem Ciau Khiang (Johan) dan Tia Paramita ini bercita-cita untuk membuat album rekaman lagu-lagu daerah. “Jangan sampai lagu-lagu daerah yang begitu kaya makna menjadi dilupakan oleh generasi muda,” ujar Sherly yang juga pernah berakting di sejumlah sinetron.
